A TRANSFORMATIONAL STAY AT DAMANHUR

This workshop is conceived as a true alchemical journey, in which art becomes the instrument through which to observe, transform and integrate one’s inner processes.

Over the four days, we will move through the three major phases of alchemical transformation—not as theory, but as direct experience. Through alchemical awareness practices, artistic work and emotions, each participant will be able to observe their own inner movement and give visible form to the changes taking place within them.

Art thus becomes a living laboratory, in which symbols, colours, movement and matter reflect what happens at the deepest levels of consciousness.

You do not need to be an artist.
It is enough to be willing to observe, play and experiment, becoming an active participant in the process.

THE EXPERIENCE

This path is dedicated to those who wish to encounter Damanhur not merely as a place, but as an inner experience. It is not simply a visit.

The Art and Alchemy workshop is born from the meeting between the transformative power of art and the tools of Damanhurian alchemy.

The creative act becomes an evolutionary practice. Matter becomes a mirror. Gesture becomes revelation.

Through artistic exploration, we will awaken personal resources that often lie dormant — talents, intuitions, inner directions. This is not about “learning how to create,” but about discovering that we ourselves are a work of art in transformation.

From free expression to awareness, from symbol to presence, we will explore the body, energy, emotions, and our relationship with the environment as elements of one unified alchemical process.

No artistic background is required. Only willingness. A willingness to play, to observe, to allow oneself to be moved and transformed. Art becomes the instrument. Alchemy becomes the orientation.

THE PROGRAM

THURSDAY

day 1 - Entering the alchemical field

Entering the alchemical field.
We will open the journey with a circle of connection, creating a shared space of presence and intention. As in every alchemical process, the first step is to enter the field of work and prepare the “body-laboratory”.
Morning – Arciere
Experiential walk through the central area of Damanhur.
By observing and sensing the artworks, symbols and creative spaces in this area, we will explore creativity as the expression of a People and an evolutionary vision.
This first encounter will allow us to enter gradually into the symbolic, energetic and creative field of Damanhur’s capital, understanding how art can become a statement of evolutionary intentions and an instrument of individual and collective transformation.
Lunch
Afternoon – Goura
Introduction to the three alchemical phases.
We will discover that these are not abstract concepts, but inner movements that we will consciously experience over the following days through practices of presence and self-awareness. We will begin to recognise:
• what weighs us down;
• understanding within our own processes;
• the stabilisation of a new awareness.
The afternoon exercises will prepare the ground for the artistic work of the following days, helping each participant identify their own inner “materials” to work with.

FRIDAY

DAY 2

Morning – Arciere
We enter the heart of the laboratory, using art as an instrument of revelation.
Through artistic tools and moments of free expression, each participant will begin to bring to light images, forms and symbols emerging from their inner world.
In alchemy, this phase is fundamental: what is seen can begin to transform.
Sharing circle.
Lunch
Afternoon – Goura
Nature and subtle perception.
In the afternoon, we will work outdoors, where nature becomes a mirror of the inner process. Through listening, we will enter into a relationship with the environment, allowing nature’s forms, colours, rhythms and symbols to influence our transformative and creative work. We will learn to relate to the elements, not as outside observers, but as part of a larger living organism.
Evening: An optional session dedicated to Falco Tarassaco, founder and inspiration behind Damanhur, to connect with the vision that gave rise to Damanhurian philosophy.

SATURDAY

DAY 3

Morning – Arciere
Refining perception.
The third day deepens the process, bringing greater clarity and awareness to the energies and emotions that have emerged. The body will become the means through which to explore energetic flows, tensions and possibilities for transformation.
Emotional collage: giving visible form to inner movement.
Sharing circle.
Afternoon – Goura
Emotions and states of consciousness.
Through perceptual exercises, we will work with emotions as forces within the alchemical body-laboratory: that which can be distilled, refined and transformed into awareness.
We will prepare and create waters informed by our own emotions, to be used in the artistic work.

SUNDAY

DAY 4

Morning – Goura
The day begins with practices for centring ourselves and awakening presence: breathing and conscious movement.
Meditative visit to the Temples of Humankind.
Integration – Giving form to a new balance.
Afternoon – Arciere
Art and integration.
Using colours and the prepared waters, each participant will create a final artwork.
This creative moment will become a way to give visible form to the process of transformation experienced, balancing and stabilising a new inner equilibrium.
Sharing and integration of the experience.

YOUR TRANSFORMATIONAL FACILITATORs

Goura Loto

I am a co-creator and instructor of the Damanhur School of Alchemy and Rituality, and for over twenty-four years I have dedicated myself to the disciplined study and application of spiritual and ritual practice.

Trained directly with Falco Tarassaco, founder and inspirer of Damanhur, I approach Alchemy not as philosophy, but as an operational method for refining perception, energy, and consciousness.

As a guide within the Temples of Humankind, I facilitate meditations and experiential journeys that translate sacred space into inner transformation. I accompany individuals and groups in spaces of exploration, transformation, and remembrance of their most authentic nature.

By integrating tools from Neuro-Linguistic Programming into inner and relational work, I bridge symbolic knowledge with practical application.

My research continues through ongoing collaboration with study groups and retreat participants, where Alchemy is not abstraction — it is the art of working on oneself with precision, constancy, and intention, until consciousness becomes coherent with action.

Arciere Aglio

My path is rooted in Art and, through it, has evolved into a research journey devoted to the transformation of the human being.

Graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, I explored color and form until understanding them as instruments of awareness. Creative writing within Generative Psychopedagogy, cognitive–affective–relational art (DIA Program), and training in Art Therapy have broadened my vision of the artistic gesture as a process of inner integration.

I have worked across theatre, music, and the performing arts, exploring the Globality of Languages as spaces for evolution, guided by the conviction that every form of expression is a threshold between the visible and the invisible. For many years, I have studied Western esoteric traditions and independent research paths, seeking the thread that connects symbol, lived experience, and embodied knowledge.

As a spiritual healer within the Damanhur School of Pranotherapy, I unite energetic and creative dimensions in my work, recognizing the human being as a reality in continuous transformation and refinement.

This workshop is an invitation to approach with an open heart and a spirit of exploration.

The process also unfolds through the synchronicity of the moment, because alchemy is alive and responds to those who are willing to let themselves be transformed.

The programme can be organised for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants.
